Wellshot in your AI app
Work on your films from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or your own agent. It plans with the Director, generates in Studio, builds on the Canvas and cuts in the Editor, on the same projects you see in Wellshot, with prices, takes, storyboards and timelines shown right in the chat.

ChatGPT, Claude and other chat apps
Add Wellshot as a connector with this address:
https://app.wellshot.ai/api/mcp- Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the address and press Connect.
- ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Create (with developer mode on). Paste the address, choose OAuth, and press Connect.
- Gemini and other MCP apps: add a remote MCP server with the same address.
The app sends you to Wellshot to log in and approve it. Then just ask, for example: “Make a 15-second vertical ad for my sneaker from these photos.”
Hermes, OpenClaw and other agents
Use the Wellshot command line. It needs Node.js 20 or newer:
npx wellshot loginIt prints a short code and opens Wellshot in your browser to approve it. After that, npx wellshot --help lists every command (projects, generate, canvas, edit, and every Director tool through wellshot call). Add --json for output an agent can read. Agents that prefer MCP can run npx wellshot mcp as a local MCP server.
Spending credits
When you approve an app you choose how it may spend your credits:
- Ask me every time: the app shows the price first and nothing starts until you say yes (or press Generate in the chat).
- On its own, up to a daily limit: for agents that work while you're away. It stops at the limit you set.
You can change this, see what each app spent today, or disconnect an app at any time in Wellshot under AI apps. Disconnecting stops it at once.
What an app can see
A connected app works only in your own studios: your projects, shots, takes and timelines. It can't see your password, payment details or other people's work, and it uses your credits at the same prices as Wellshot itself.
